Networking creates Synergies – so does collaboration between organisations.
The board of the Young Professionals Logistics and Supply Chain Luxembourg is very happy and proud that during its first year 2017 already two crossboarder cooperations have been entered. Together with the German association for logistics (BVL e.V) and the Jong Logistiek Netherland (JLN) we found two partners that directly recognised the value adds of such a cooperation agreement.
Why Cross bordering?
The collaborative associations are supposed to share core values and aim to attract career starters and logistics passionates while offering knowledge and possibilities to network and build a successful career in the logistics sector. It in mutual interest to jointly develop the BENELUX as a European logistical hub and to extend the networks will fellow practitioners from all over the countries.
This is just the first step. We want cooperate with friends of logistics on an international scale to raise even more the awareness of the importance and complexity of Logistics & Supply Chain Management in the cultural diverse environment where we – the so called digital natives – grew up in.
YPL2`s statement concerning Cross boarder activities
Borders in such manner should not exist and for everybody involved there is surly a win-win situation ahead. Both networks could strongly profit from each other while opening up events for each other’s members. Alongside this after some skype sessions, the YPL² started to organise an international Fieldtrip as a first cooperation event to Copenhagen and Arhus, DK in September 2017. In the end the trip was a great possibility to bring cultures together while getting in contact with the Danish culture and taking visits at UNICEF, MAERSK for example. In addition to the fieldtrip all organisation aligned to also cooperate in visiting events of each other. With these goals in mind YPL² continues to extend the international network of communities with shared values, looking forward to exciting events and a great collaboration.
“Young European Collab”, the common crossborder project between YPL² and Jong Logistiek Nederland (JLN) for me means creating an international reliable network. Both associations have been working close together with the aim to connect their members with each other internationally. This is done by organising and visiting cooperation events in the Benelux area or even further i.e the fieldtrip to Denmark last year. The collaboration creates an international and professional atmosphere on a personal level. We are combining the best of both associations and making use of the synergies!
For me YPL² is the ideal connection between practical logistics and a personal exchange of experiences. As a member of the BVL Young Professional network for me the joined fieldtrip to Denmark together with Jong Logistiek Nederland and the Luxembourgish organisation was a valuable opportunity to expand my professional network on a european level and to discuss innovative logistics ideas with experts at the place of their application.
